Possible subjects of Ph.D. work: membrane nanotubes, interaction of cells
with nanostructured metallic implant surface, membrane vesiculation process,
membrane electrostatics (electric double layer theory), membrane biophysics
and mechanics, exocytosis.
Alongside with their PhD research, scholars will attend relevant courses and
carry out joint research in the framework of interdisciplinary seminars. We are
seeking for highly motivated candidates interested in interdisciplinary work. The
preferred candidate should have a background in natural sciences (physics, biology,
mathematics or chemistry) or computational engineering. The gross salary € 1,430
per month, net pay € 1,050 per month (after deduction of the payment for taxes,
health insurance, pension fund etc).
Research and travel funds will be provided in addition.
